This budget friendly butterfly knife model is one of the best entry-level "live blade" balisong knives that we carry. Sporting a silver clip-point blade with blood groove, the slim build of this bali song butterfly knife delivers nice action in an attractive package. Featuring textured inserts to provide a solid grip, the stainless steel handles are decorated with skeletonized cutouts that make this knife very light in weight, but at the same time extremely sturdy and durable. A metal safety latch is included to lock the blade into place when it is not in use as well as when it is deployed.

This version includes the horizontal-carry ABS belt sheath. If you are also interested in a trainer version, or you don't need the sheath, here is our other version of this balisong knife that includes additional options.

The world of balisongs is a lot of fun, but they are a little bit different from traditional pocket knives. Some are held together with rivets, instead of screws. Those don't require any maintenance, but are a lot tougher to tune. We highly recommend owning a torx screwdriver set if you're getting into balisongs that have torx screw pivots. The pivots move a lot, and all of them will loosen up over time. The maintenance you will have perform is the same, whether it is a budget-friendly $30 butterfly knife, or a higher-end $300 butterfly knife. If you wish to remove the safety latch pin on this balisong knife, you will simply need a T6 torx screwdriver. The pivot screws are a T9. If you need a torx bit screwdriver set for these popular balisong screw sizes, we also carry one here in our store. We also recommend looking up a tutorial on how to use thread-locker on your pivot screws (such as loctite / permatex blue, available at your local department store - or we carry the blue threadlocker gel in our store here) if you are not familiar with doing so.
