This blade has a secure fit in its holster, with a firm 'click'. Removing the knife from the sheath is as simple as putting your pinky finger through the largest hole by the end of the handle, and applying pressure with your thumb on the ridged/jimped spot on the sheath. If you want, you can even wrap the handle with your own favorite 550 paracord in order to add some handle padding or some extra survival functionality.
