If you're looking for a simple, concealed-carry fixed blade to have at hand (for either utility, or self defense) you might want to consider this Sanrenmu S615. Whether you want a backup blade for self-defense, or just to defend yourself against unopened boxes... this is an amazing EDC alternative to a folding knife. It allows you the option to carry it on your belt in just about angle, with its rotating belt clip. Each of the 9 positions lock firmly in place. This blade has a secure fit in its holster, with a firm 'click'. Removing the knife from the sheath is as simple as grabbing the G10 wrapped handle and applying some pressure with your thumb on the ridged/jimped spot on the sheath.

The belt clip is open ended so that it fits on any size belt up to 1/4 inch thick. The interior loop of the belt is 1.5 inches, if you wanted to be able to slide your belt through it for a more secure fit.
