You probably never even thought of the possibility of combining the convenience of a box-cutter razor utility knife, with an automatic OTF out-the-front switchblade... until now. Yes, this is actually a thing, that you can own, and affordably! The action, fit, and finish, on this OTF knife are all exceptional. This is a fun little piece for your OTF or EDC knife collection. The handle on this fun little out-the-front is offers plenty of milling on front as well as side handle jimping for a secure and confident grip. It's ready to eat through your daily cardboard and box-cutting tasks and might even be up to part for some sheetrock slicing on that next weekend project. This knife model could be considered CA / "Cali-legal" for everyday carry in terms of the exposed edge portion of the blade, which measures in at 2" inches (the standard length of a trapezoid shaped utility blade is longer than 2 inches, when removed from the blade holder). Choose from either black (with white accents and a silver switch) or green (with a green switch).
Our SCREW-TYPE blade holder fits just about any blade we have tested, and we have tested and incredible number of off-the-shelf brands. Changing a small T6 torx screw to change a blade out is a bit more annoying, but if blade compatibility is an issue for you, then choose the screw-type holder version. We also included two additional spare screws, in case you ever lose yours. Be sure to store them in a safe place where you will remember.
Our QUICK-CHANGE blade holder, which is compatible with older black and green versions of the knife (but not the white color variation, due to it having a thicker finish). In our tests, most major brands of utility blades fit this quick-change holder in both directions, such as Milwaukee, Husky, Kobalt, and many others. Klein Tools, Stanley, and Dewalt blades only fit one way, usually with the logo side facing the back. It does not fit Lenox, Hyper Tough (Walmart) or the Black SK3 blades that we carry, at all. Other brand blades, but that will be up to you to test out. This updated blade holder now has a built-in rear spring to keep the utility blade extra tight in its holder. There is zero blade-play but with that great feature, comes limited blade compatibility. When testing different blade brands, please keep in mind that if the blade causes the quick-change lock bar on the blade holder to stick out, and it is not seated flush 100%, the Rocket Razor will misfire.

Resharpening your traditional pocket knives gets old fast - which is why more and more of our customers are adding utility-blade models to their regular EDC rotation. Standard trapezoid-shaped utility razor blades are widely available and can be bought in bulk for just pennies. Action video clips will be added to this page soon. Please use discretion when using this type of knife on a lot of box tape. Always be sure to check the blade for stuck on pieces of tape or glue residue, prior to retracting the blade back into the handle. This will keep your knife operating at its best and prevent you from having to take it apart for additional cleaning and added maintenance.
