The Goal: To create the ultimate compact everyday carry fixed blade knife with a lightweight, slim, and easily concealable profile. This is the type of knife we know our customers have been wanting, because we listen. It's also the knife that we have always wanted to carry on the daily! Your regular, daily routine is a huge part of your life, and we wanted a knife you would enjoy just as much. There are only so many knives out on the market that are around this price point, with these types of quality materials. We have collaborated directly with our amazing manufacturer in China to produce a high-quality product that won't hurt your wallet.

The Design: Our prior exclusive fixed blade with a finger-hole style was super popular over the last 8 years, but it was time to put it out to pasture. We focused on improving the style with a redesign to make something much better, for only a few bucks more. We achieved a more compact size for easier concealment and everyday carry. Better quality Sandvik 14C28N steel that is corrosion resistant and holds an edge much longer than cheaper, budget steels. Durable and grippy denim micarta handle scales in a variety of colors (instead of junky ABS plastic or nylon fiber). A kydex sheath with firm blade retention, zero rattle, and a drain hole. Most importantly, we wanted something with the ability to carry it any which way you prefer (any angle; even boot or neck carry). This is such a simple concept, yet so many fixed blade knives lack these features. We have learned a lot through our own experience actually carrying and using hundreds of different fixed blade models over the years.

The Road Ahead: In the future we hope to offer additional finish and steel versions, custom hardware, and additional handle materials that you can purchase to customize and change around on your own copy. Your ROUTINE doesn't have to be boring, when you can customize it to your own personal preference. We also will offer a low-cost maintenance kit with spare hardware to keep your copy up and running, without having to buy an entire new knife.

Durable, molded kydex sheath holds the blade firmly (with zero sheath rattle). It also has a drain hole.
Multi-angle mountable, slim, stainless steel belt clip (Vertical, horizontal/scout, or angled carry; front or rear, for left-handed or right-handed draw). You will receive it set up for vertical carry, and it only takes a Phillips screwdriver to customize the clip position to your own personal preference.
Open-ended, flexible belt clip with a retention hook on the interior to stay put (fits belts up to 2 1/8" wide on the interior portion, or unlimited width when clipped on anything larger)
High quality hardware
Lanyard hole
Optional tactical-style belt clips also available (choose the add-on option above)
The optional quick release belt-clip mounting holes are .75" in. apart / 1.5" in. apart (every other hole, horizontally or vertically - see photos for reference)

Perfect fixed EDC

This knife to value ratio is unmatched in my opinion. In Canada we have a culture that is less accustomed to EDC. I needed something small and functional that had little to no print. Not only did this product do that but for around $50, I got a full tang little fixed, with great sheath, quick clip, and OD green scales. Not to mention the way it feels in your hand. The way the ring is placed, it doesn't contort your hand in any weird way and actually feels very natural. Really think this is a winning design for fixed blade EDC knives and I have zero affiliation with this website or designer. Hope more people get a chance to get this thing in their hands. Also really enjoy how well it fits in its little sheath and the clip that comes with it! I'm telling you! This was clearly made by someone who wants to EDC fixed.

This knife is fantastic. Every element of it was clearly designed with lots of thought and care. The ergonomics are perfect for its intended function, the sheath is very functional and easy to conceal with great retention and no rattle, it has a perfect size ring and grip, jimping is well-placed and functional, and the blade came shaving-sharp right out of the box! If you're looking for a self-defence knife that's easy and comfortable to conceal (you literally won't feel it on you), as well as sturdy, thoughtfully-designed, and there when you need it, I honestly think you'll be very happy with the Arena Routine. Oh, and best of all, the price on this one is a steal! Hopefully someday an aftermarket pops up for all kinds of fancy scales for this knife.

A Great "Get Off Me" Self Defense Knife

I am very pleased with this knife. I have a Shiveworks Clinch Pick Double edge which cost $141. I think other than the CP being double edged the Routine is just as effective at 1/3 the price. I think this is a great buy if you want a knife for CQC-Get Off Me. It is a very specialized knife for one purpose. If you are looking at the Clinch Pick or California Cobra, you should consider the Routine as well. Or as I did get both. The only suggestion I have is I wished the Routine was double edged up to the jumping like the CP Double, or such a model was added to the line of Routine as some may not want such option. The standard clip on the sheave works well but was too tight (the opening not wide enough) for my 3/16 thick leather gun belt. I tried bending it open more by hand and when that didn't work I put the clip in a vise and bent it open more. Works fine. The optional clip is probably worth buying but it won't be as concealable under a tee shirt or Polo shirt. Like the knife the sheave is a great value for the money. Obviously I recommend the Routine. I suggest you watch the 411 Outdoors channel video on this knife.
