I like the knife, the flipper is too tight. I hope over time it loosens up a bit, the action hurts for fingers after a few flips. The lockup is solid, no wiggle in the blade, seems well built. Only complaint is the stiff action. It will accept Lenox gold blades which is nice.

Thanks for the nice review, Shane! The key to loosening up that detent a bit on the Flipout, is just unscrewing the pivot screw about an eighth of a turn. Sometimes the assemblers go "HE-MAN" on them a bit too far. Heat up the threadlocker a bit with a heat gun or by touching a soldering iron to the main pivot screws on both sides, then loosen it a bit. These will break in on their own in time, but 9 times out of 10, it's just a tuning issue. We check everything in-house prior to shipment, but sometimes detent is one of those things where it is all subjective. I personally like a strong detent, so that I get regular deployment without any flip failures... but not everyone else does.

I'm going to do a full YouTube video review soon, showing all of the most popular brands of blades that fit the best, and show some of the variation between brands. You'd think that utility blades are "universal" but sadly, they're not! The blade manufacturers all make blades with a lot of variation, from thickness, to height, and even differences in the notches.

I have both flip-outs and love them both ! I do loke the easy blade changeout too !

This is my second variation on the flipper this time as screw-lock version. I love the standard version and rapid blade changing access but needed more blade exposure for the type of thin slicing I do daily. For that work load I now use the screw-lock version which works flawless 100 times a day. More importantly, was the continual customer support communication received in my transactions… This led to the decisions that I made on both purchases… And to boot, I forgot to add my 10% off discount for first time purchase and the management team accommodated my request… Which was only a small fee large in terms of having a customer for life… Small things go a long way with buyers…!

I wound up buying the screw-lock version of this knife, and absolutely love it. Super simple action, and easy to fold back up. This is a quality item I'll keep on me for many years to come.

This has been an awesome tool, and I'm glad I bought it. I purchased the raw titanium version, and my father got the black coated version at the same time. I only saw his for a few days while I was in town visiting, but I think both color options are great choices. Personally we both like the look of the raw metal better, but black may be a better choice with certain uniforms for work. The knife feels like it's made with fantastic quality. It had a very aggressive detent at first. I don't know if it's broken in now, or if I've just gotten used to it, but now the detent feels perfect, and I get a snappy opening every time. Fantastic action. Blade changes with the quick-swap holder could not be easier, and after a fair bit of fairly hard use, I'm quite confident in the retention. Pocket clip is fantastic. I'm not a lefty, but it would be nice to have the option to swap to the other side (which you could do on your own with a drill and tap, if so inclined). Otherwise, no complaints. It locks in to the pocket solidly, but it's easy to grab when you need it. I've had it clipped to heavy jeans or directly on a leather belt, and then on scrubs and thin sweatpants pockets, and the clip hasn't deformed. Seems to work with everything. I haven't once had it become unclipped unintentionally. It's a bit smaller, thinner, and lighter than I anticipated, but ergonomics are everything you could ask for, and it absolutely disappears in the pocket. It's been a reliable daily carry for a couple months now. I would recommend this to anyone. I don't love that I had to make an account just to post a review, but I liked this product so much that I really wanted to support the business and encourage anyone on the fence to pull the trigger. I'm sure I'll be purchasing more as gifts for family and friends.
